Thirty-two-year-old Maiko Kosaka is frustrated by her lack of sexual experience. After reuniting with her ex-boyfriend, she makes a bold request.

A depressed Kosaka receives some misguided advice about maintaining balance from her coworker Nana Somei — whose own life slowly begins to crumble.

Hara opens up to Kosaka about his sexuality. Somei receives a message from her ex-boyfriend Kiyokawa, who is now a successful manga author.

On the way home from the retro game café, Kosaka asks Kagiya out for dinner. Misono takes her work frustrations out on her boyfriend, Makoto.

Unable to contact Makoto, Misono realizes that her irritation is making her miserable. She receives some encouragement from an unexpected source.

Kosaka worries she has ruined any potential relationship with Kagiya. The insecure Kodaira goes out to dinner with a man she met through a dating app.

Kagiya opens up to Kosaka about his dashed hopes of becoming a professional shogi player. Meanwhile, Kodaira meets up with an attractive young man.

Kosaka is assigned to lead a new project at work, complicating her plans to see Kagiya again. Kodaira's date with Toya takes an unexpected turn.

After hearing her coworkers' views on love, Kosaka realizes she hasn't told Kagiya how she feels and goes to see him at his workplace.
