What is Fatmagul's Fault? - Season 2 (2011)

The day that darkens when Kerim is detained as the only suspect in a crime he did not commit starts a new era that completely changes Kerim and Fatmagül's lives. As Kerim waits in desperation in prison for the day he will stand trial, the first person he wants to convince of his innocence is Fatmagül.

Fatmagül's visit is a breath of fresh air for Kerim. Fatmagül has also started to feel Kerim's absence in her life during the days they have been separated. Although the short time spent in the visitation room is not enough to ease Kerim and Fatmagül's longing, it is a great morale booster for both of them. Time is short and the words to be said are many.

Years later, in prison, Kerim confronts his father, who abandoned him as a young boy. This encounter reveals that the long years that have passed have done nothing to diminish Kerim's anger and hatred. Kerim has closed all doors against his father forever with the last image he remembers of his mother.

As Kerim announces the date of the hearing, the atmosphere in the Rose Kitchen suddenly changes. While Fatmagül begins an exciting countdown, Grandma Ebe's joy is overshadowed by the letter left to Kerim by his mother. Grandma Ebe will make her decision about this letter, which she has been hiding for years, after meeting with Fahrettin.

When the moment of reunion they have been dreaming of for months arrives, Kerim and Fatmagül's hands meet in longing. Kerim's freedom officially opens an era of love and hope in his relationship with Fatmagül. On the journey back to Istanbul, Kerim notices Grandma Ebe's stagnation and sadness.

With the letter left by his mother, Kerim realizes that he has been believing a lie for years and starts to reconsider his whole life. Even his marriage to Fatmagül is now full of question marks for Kerim. Thinking that Kerim will never forgive her, Ebe Nana comes to the brink of a very important decision in this process.

The process that started with the resemblance between Kerim's mother and Fatmagül has dealt a heavy blow to his relationship with Fatmagül. Kerim realizes that it is too late even to regret it. The fear he sees in Fatmagül's eyes is his biggest punishment. Fatmagül, on the other hand, tries to understand Kerim.

Despite Kerim's decision to leave, Fatmagül gives him her last word. Kerim is no longer one of her four enemies, but the man she trusts and wants to continue their marriage. From this point on, Kerim will either take this hand extended to him or lose Fatmagül completely. As Fatmagül's trial approaches, all the developments are against the Yasarans.

Fatmagül and Kerim are left alone in the rainy conditions far from Istanbul. Mustafa, who falls into Münir's trap the same night, realizes that there is no way out of this mud. He has no choice but to submit to the Yasarans once again. Asu also has to obey his decision. Otherwise, both her baby and herself will face danger.

Kerim is swept off his feet when Fatmagül confesses that she loves him. From this moment on, it becomes more difficult for Kerim and Fatmagül to hide the sweet excitement in their hearts from those around them. While there are good and hopeful developments on the Fatmagüls' front, the Yaşaranlar's silence despite the short time left for the trial does not escape Fahrettin Ilgaz's attention.

Trapped and waiting for Kerim to find him, Erdoğan is cornered even more when the police get involved. The fact that Erdoğan has come so close to them revives the old fears of the whole family, especially Fatmagül. On the other hand, while Deniz pursues the real story of Fatmagül and Kerim, Fahrettin is after Asu to find out the truth.

The significant support for Fatmagül from all segments of the society puts great pressure on the Yasarans. After the developments leading up to the day of the trial, the Yasarans are aware that a negative decision may come out of this trial for them. Erdoğan and Münir's last efforts before the court cannot break the hopeful wait on the Fatmagüls' side.

In order to break the pressure against them, the Yasarans make a press statement targeting Kerim and Fatmagül. Some journalists start to hang around Fatmagül every minute, creating exactly the atmosphere the Yasarans want to create.

Fatmagül and Kerim start staying at Fahrettin's house until things calm down. Away from all the problems, the peace and energy of this house provides an environment that Fatmagül and Kerim long for. After Reşat Yaşaran starts to use the power of the media against Fatmagül, he becomes emboldened and starts to squeeze Mustafa even more. As Mustafa is cornered, he looks for a way out.

Another wall is broken between Fatmagül and Kerimin. Mustafa, who confronts the Yasarans to gain his freedom, is defeated by Erdoğan's counter move. The growing tension between Reşat Yaşaran and Erdoğan grows. Erdoğan thinks that his salvation is Fatmagül's saying that she voluntarily gave up the case.

Fatmagül, who suddenly sees Erdoğan in front of her, tries to run away in fear, but Erdoğan does not intend to give up before he makes his speech. Rahmi, who does not want Fatmagül to return home alone, tries to catch Fatmagül's exit from the doctor's office after she finishes her work, but sees that his brother is in a difficult situation and things get out of control.

Feeling helpless against the Yasarans, Kerim's anger slowly begins to return to him.

Difficult days begin for Mustafa, who is detained in connection with Kerim's shooting. The news of Mustafa's detention increases the tension between Kerim and Fatmagül. Fatmagül pursues the reasons why Mustafa wants to kill Kerim. Upon learning that Kerim has been shot, his father comes to Istanbul to be with his son. He tries to convince everyone with Mustafa's false testimony in custody.

When Kerim opens his eyes, the fears in the hearts of everyone, especially Fatmagül, are replaced by joy. However, this joy does not last long. First, the news of Mustafa's release reaches the hospital. Immediately after this, Mustafa finds a way to confront Kerim, risking all dangers. The fire of revenge in Mustafa brings Kerim and Fatmagül together.

Hearing that Fatmagül wants to sew her wedding dress with her own hands, Kerimin's hopes for the future increase even more. The small steps they take towards each other bring them closer. Before the wedding of Nana Ebe and Kadir, there is a sweet rush in the house. While everyone rushes to prepare for the wedding, Gül's kitchen struggles to fulfill the special orders for Valentine's Day.

Asu, who thinks that she will give Mustafa the biggest punishment by leaving his fate in Fatmagül's hands, disappears after confessing the truth. Now Mustafa's fate is really in Fatmagül's hands. Although Mustafa believes that Fatmagül will not report him, Fatmagül does not think for a minute to file a criminal complaint to the prosecutor's office.

It is soon revealed that Mustafa has kidnapped Fatmagül. However, it is not possible to reach them. No one can calm Kerim down. In order to save Fatmagül from Mustafa, Kerim resorts to every means. The wave of panic on the Yaşaranlar front reaches its peak when the police arrive at the company. Fatmagül's kidnapping puts the Yasarans in a tight corner because of their connections with Mustafa.

The fact that Mustafa manages to infiltrate their lives even while in prison pushes Fatmagül and Kerim to take new measures.

Fatmagül and Kerim's wedding, which they have been eagerly awaiting for months, begins with great enthusiasm. Fahrettin and Kadir are in fearful anticipation because the man hired by Mustafa has not been found. Meanwhile, Sami and Asu try to make it to the wedding to identify the man. The man hired by Mustafa to kill Kerim sneaks into the garden of Kadir's house despite all security measures.

After their first night together, Fatmagül and Kerim cross another very difficult threshold. Only time will heal that great wound from their past. With the news of Mustafa's death, the joy of the wedding house is completely lost. Everyone, especially Rahmi and Mukaddes, is shocked by this situation. It is up to Kadir and Fahrettin to inform Asu that Mustafa has passed away.

Mustafa is not innocent even in death. He wants to leave a guilty conscience between Fatmagül and Kerim that they will carry for the rest of their lives. But neither Fatmagül nor Kerim feels guilty.
