Meiko (Watanabe Miho) had aspired to be a news announcer, but her dream was shattered. She now works at an event company and teaches part-time at an announcer school. Feeling almost at her wit's end, she finds comfort in the company of "Yukari-kun," Hayama Yukari (Takao Hayato), the only person who listens seriously to her lessons. Secretly attracted to him, the cute, puppy-like young man, Meiko assures her friend, announcer Maki (Hamagishi Hiyori), that he's just a student. One day, Meiko spots Yukari-kun being harassed by some delinquents in town. Just as the delinquents' clutches reach out, Yukari-kun takes a surprising action, shocking her. Then, upon learning Yukari-kun's surprising true identity, Meiko is left completely confused. The contrast is unfair!

Meiko (Watanabe Miho) is shocked to discover that "Yukari-kun" (Takao Hayato), whom she thought was a cute student younger than her, is actually four years older than her and a detective named "Yukari-san." At the end of class, Yukari-kun is waiting for her at the entrance! Meanwhile, her best friend, popular announcer Maki (Hamagishi Hiyori), is embroiled in a scandal involving a passionate love affair with a national idol! The topic is all the rage among the students at the announcer school. One day, despite knowing Maki's pain, Meiko, driven by her inferiority complex and jealousy for not being able to become an announcer, accidentally blurts out the worst thing she could say. After chasing after Maki, who leaves in a heartbroken state, she loses sight of him, and as she is left feeling depressed, someone appears before her...
