Season 2 Plot
All four coaches return for their second season. The season expanded from the first season: each coach has twelve artists on their team, rather than eight as in the first season. The blind auditions and the battle rounds have also been extended.
The Voice Season 2 aired on February 5th, 2012.
Season 2 Episodes
1. The Blind Auditions (1)
Season 2 of the star search opens with the "blind auditions," in which celebrity coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton choose 12 vocalists for their respective teams.
2. The Blind Auditions (2)
The coaches perform a Prince medley and continue their quest to find the new best voice in America.
3. The Blind Auditions (3)
The blind auditions continue as the coaches fight it out for the artists who can take their teams to the top.
4. The Blind Auditions (4)
The fourth round of blind auditions has Blake, Christina, Adam and Cee Lo all battling over the best talent.
5. The Blind Auditions (5)
The blind auditions finish up as Blake, Cee Lo, Christina and Adam round out their final teams.
6. The Battles Begin
The battle round kicks off with team members dueling in duets and the coaches enlisting help from such star mentors as Jewel, Lionel Richie, Alanis Morissette, Robin Thicke, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Ne-Yo, Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert.
7. The Battles (2)
The battle round continues with the coaches pitting their team members against one another. Advisers include Lionel Richie, Kelly Clarkson, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Alanis Morissette, Ne-Yo and Robin Thicke.
8. The Battles, Week 3
The battle round resumes. Advisers include Lionel Richie, Kelly Clarkson, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Alanis Morissette, Ne-Yo and Robin Thicke.
9. The Battles, Week 4
The coaches fill the last spots on their live round teams after watching their artists perform in the final battles.
10. Live Performance, Week 1
The performance round kicks off with the top singers from two teams battling against each other.
11. Live Results, 4 Go Home
Viewers voted and selected three each to stay from each team. The bottom three have the opportunity to perform one last time and their coach will decide which of the three can stay. Gym Class Heros performs with the four teams.
12. Live Performance, Week 2
The remaining artists from Team Adam and Team Cee Lo all perform live, hoping for America's votes to move on to the quarterfinals.
13. Live Eliminations (4)
America's votes are revealed and the remaining six artists must sing for a shot at being saved by their coaches, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green.
14. Live Quarter-Final Performances
Artists from Team Blake and Team Christina perform, then face an instant elimination, followed by America's votes for their survival.
15. Live Quarter-Final Eliminations (2)
The remaining three artists from Christina and Blake's teams discover who among them will move on to the semifinals and who will be eliminated. The Wanted and Justin Bieber both make special appearances.
16. Live Quarter-Final Performances
Adam and CeeLo perform with their teams, then the artists face instant coach elimination - and America's votes to save them.
17. Live Quarter-Final Eliminations (4)
The voting results for Adam and CeeLo's remaining artists are revealed - and the coaches make their final saves.
18. Live Semi-Final Performances
The semifinal round kicks off with the Top 8 vocalists in battle.
19. Live Semi-Final Eliminations
The final four singers are unveiled in a results show.
20. Live Final Performances (1)
The remaining four vocalists compete in the final performances.
21. Live Final Eliminations (2)
The winning vocalist is revealed in the Season 2 finale.
