Season 1 Plot
Twenty of America’s most cunning contestants, a mix of famous faces and everyday Americans, play the ultimate murder mystery game. Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming at an ancient castle in Scotland, they will work together on exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. But hidden amongst the Faithful contestants are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors will murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree while the players try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.

Season 1 Episodes
1. The Game Is Afoot
Twenty contestants arrive at a castle in Scotland to play the ultimate murder mystery game.
2. Buried Alive
The first murder raises suspicions as the contestants are buried alive; a player is banished.
3. Murder They Wrote
The next murder shocks everyone; while a player is banished, another makes a dramatic discovery.
4. Life or Death Situation
Cracks start to show in the treacherous trio as the game's pressure begins to weigh on one of them.
5. Getting Away With Murder
A Traitor raises suspicions; a mission gives players a chance to raise the prize pot over $100,000.
6. Suspicion and Sabotage
The game has a new lifeline, but for three players, being On Trial puts them closer to murder.
7. The Mask Is Slipping
A Traitor’s mask begins to slip; ghosts of former players return; a plot twist unfolds.
8. Cabins in the Woods
One player must make the ultimate decision; a Traitor raises suspicion; a brutal roundtable ensues.
9. Trust No One
During the penultimate day, alliances are broken and trust between the Traitors is questioned.
10. The Grand Finale
After a last mission and roundtable, either the Traitors or Faithful will win the prize pot.
11. The Reunion
The cast of “The Traitors” settles the score on all the lies, murders, banishments and treachery.
