The Night Shift - Season 1 (2007)

Daniel's first night on the night shift. His boss Georg takes his job very seriously.

Throughout the shift, Georg discusses self-defense, presenting strategies in the event of an attack.

Georg gets a reprimand from his ex-wife for not spending enough father and son time with Flemming Geir. Ólafur becomes more irritated at the idea of the joint shift fund being used for a holiday to Sweden. Daníel bumps into a face from the past.

Ólafur's dreams of fame get a step closer when he has a chance to attend the X-Factor open auditions, though trouble brews when Georg refuses to give him the time off to go.

The band "Sólin" finally gets their chance of a big break, but Ólafur manages to get into trouble at work so Georg refuses to give him the time off to go see it.

Ólafur's cheap Chinese body building supplement has some unusual results. This woman who collects bottles in the station yard infuriates Georg.

Georg becomes increasingly frustrated when, after a series of customer complaints, head office send the company personnel officer to asses his work at the station.

It's election night in Iceland and Georg, reveling in his knowledge of the political process, organizes the night shift's own election.

The tension between Daniel and Georg continues. Georg recruits a new employee, Haraldur. Daniel faces pressure from his family to return to medical school.

The Sólin posters ordered by Ólafur arrive, it's Daníel's father's birthday, and Benjamín is coming from Nigeria to collect his money from Ólafur.

Georg preaches on the ideals of feminism and attempts to teach Flemming Geir the facts of life. Ólafur comes to work with a hangover. Daníel and Ylfa become closer.

Georg contacts the CEO of the company, much to his annoyance. The shift argue about how to spend the shift fund with Georg desperate to get his own way.
