Season 1 Plot
Set in the Washington Territory in 1854, the series follows the matriarchs of two very different families: the Van Nesses, a dynasty of wealth and privilege led by Anderson’s Constance, and the Abandons, a found family of orphans and outcasts fiercely protected by Headey’s Fiona Nolan. The families find their fates linked by two crimes, an awful secret, star-crossed love, and a piece of land over a silver lode. Their collision in a place just beyond the reach of justice echoes the perpetual American struggle between the haves and have-not. That collision sets the stage for a story of passion, betrayal, and survival.

1. Orphans
Rancher Fiona Nolan and her found family of orphans must unite their neighbors against the cutthroat Van Ness family after an incursion on their land.
2. The Hunt
The two clans are forced to set aside their enmity to hunt down a threat to the town. Fiona and Dahlia receive a visit from an old friend.
3. Triage
Constance tries to broker a deal with dangerous implications. Elias and Trisha's budding attraction grows stronger. Fiona cares for a wounded man.
4. Motherly Purpose
When Constance offers Albert an opportunity, Fiona is suspicious of her motives. Lilla struggles with the competing demands of family and identity.
5. The Joaquins
Interlopers sow chaos on a solemn occasion for the Van Ness family. Fiona weighs a proposal that could determine the future of Angel's Ridge.
6. Piety and Rage
After overstepping their bounds, Constance and Fiona each face mutinies from within. Garret is forced to get his hands dirty.
7. This Was Meant to Be My Peace
