1. Join the Club
Che attempts to be a good Samaritan on the subway – then manages the fallout. The tables are turned on an inmate during a scared straight session. Two detectives test a new interrogation approach on a reluctant witness.
2. Intervention
A run-in with his ex finds Che questioning what he’s doing wrong in relationships. An erotic massage and a swingers’ party both go sideways. Medical discrimination hits too close to home for a pregnant woman in the ER.
3. Black Mediocrity
After planning a celebrity brunch to honor Black excellence, Che finds his A-list guests poached by a competing event. Roy rallies the Black Panthers for help securing a bank loan. An astronaut fails to impress students on Career Day.
4. Higher Power
Che embarks on a dangerous flight on a virtuous airline. Kevin’s neighbors begin to doubt his recent good fortune. A scientist invents a time machine in hopes of correcting his past.
5. Your Past, Your Present
Che learns surprising facts about his ancestry. Kwame and Devon take inspiration from a Black History Month hero. The subject of an infamous 1960s doll experiment is revisited. Two parents confront their son’s alleged bullying.
6. Ballad of a Thin Man
Che puts his career on the line to produce his uncle’s screenplay. A dad tries to kickstart the next viral dance craze. A couple uses their imaginations in the bedroom. A business owner deals with a sudden deluge of mental health days.
