Meanwhile, on the Farne Islands off Northumberland, Simon King meets an Arctic tern chick about to undertake one of the world's longest migratory journeys.

Bill Oddie and Kate Humble anxiously await the fate of our baby birds as they prepare to leave the safety of their nestboxes and enter the big wide world.
