Max Monroe: Loose Cannon - Season 1 (1990)

Max Monroe is trying to dodge three hit men ordered by dying mobster Bruno Petrell while attending a chess tournament and flirting with a renown lady champion.

Mobsters kidnap Lafontaine Smith, a key witness against them. Max had located Smith to testify against mobster Ray Dominick, only for him to be kidnapped by Dominick's thugs.

Injured Max copes with crutches while helping nurse Susi, a blind witness, identity the murderer of surgeon Dr. David Carver.

Sam Frank, a homeless clairvoyant, with a knack for predicting when crimes will occur, sends Max and Charlie on the trail of an odd collection of suspects.
