Season 1 Plot
In a neighborhood of Tokyo stands Maison Ikkoku, an old apartment house. When tenant Yūsaku Godai is about to leave for good, a new manager called Kyōko Otonashi arrives, and Godai instantly falls in love with her. Can Godai's attempts to impress Kyōko and get into college prove successful over time? How will the relationship between the eccentric tenants and Kyōko develop through time?

This is a romantic comedy about the relationship of Otonashi Kyoko, the beautiful widow and manager of a boarding house and Godai Yusaku, a poor student tenant.
2. Maison Ikkoku Kanketsuhen
In this direct continuation of the earlier special, Godai tries to figure out what to do with his life after college while competing with Kyoko's impossibly perfect tennis coach for her affection.
