Phil Spencer goes house hunting in north Wales with Gemma and Jac, who moved in together just before the first lockdown but now need more space for them, their dogs and to allow working from home. Kirstie Allsopp helps retirees Anne and Tom, who are moving from Scotland to Anne's roots south of Manchester. But this is no downsize. They need plenty of space for when their children and grandchildren come to stay.

Phil is with married couple Mike and David, who are returning from Central America and want their first home together, - whilst Kirstie is with science teachers Kat and Pat, who desperately want a place of their own before wedding bells ring for them in a few months.

Catching up with two sets of house-hunters at different stages of life. In 2019, Alistair and Candice were searching in Swindon's pricey old town. Kirstie Allsopp realised that their budget and expectations didn't quite match, so it was going to be a tough search with some hard-hitting compromises. A year earlier, Thomas and Angelina had sold their family home of 32 years and were downsizing in Bolton, to be closer to their family.
