In Suspicious Circumstances - Series 3 (1993)

In May 1932, wealthy Elvira Barney and Michael Scott Stephens host a party. Next morning, Stephens is found dead and Barney will face trial.

Farmer's wife Margaret Dobson sets off to the local village at dusk, she never returns. Margaret is found dead, having been raped and murdered, 21 year old Country lad Robert Hoolhouse is arrested and charged.

In June 1931, model Starr Faithfull was found on a beach in Long Beach, New York. Despite a verdict of drowning, she was badly bruised.

After three months of courting, Herbert Bennett and Alice Meadows set a date for their wedding. Bennett, however, is arrested for the murder of widow Mary Hood, whose body was found on a beach in Yarmouth.
