House Arrest - Season 1 (2018)

The mayor of the city of Sineozersk, Arkady Anikeev, lives for his own pleasure. One day he comes across a bribe, and the court sends him under house arrest. He is forced to live not in his luxurious mansion, but in a communal apartment in which he was born, grew up, and was registered. In addition to the fact that the mayor has long lost the habit of “communal” conditions, tenants are waiting for him in the apartment, with whom he has not the warmest relations...

The former mayor of Sineozersk, Arkady Anikeev, who came under house arrest, is sure that he will be able to get out and be released, as well as to take revenge on all who betrayed him. For this, he decides to use all his connections. However, it turns out that everything is not as simple as the mayor thinks...

Former mayor Anikeev is making another attempt to get out of house arrest by bringing in a lawyer from Moscow to defend him. Osipenko persuades Samsonov's family and his wife Nina to knock out information from Anikeev, where he hid the money, offering an apartment in a new building in return. Marina Bylinkina, having agreed to cooperate with the FSB, receives the first task - to install a bug in the room of the former mayor.

Samsonov becomes a folk hero thanks to a viral video of him throwing Anikeev out the window. Anikeev understands that this is a chance, and persuades Samsonov to run for mayor of Sineozersk. In order to help Osipenko with the election campaign, political strategist Ilona, who previously worked for Anikeev, arrives from Moscow.

While Anikeev and Ilona are developing a plan for the rehabilitation of Samsonov in the eyes of voters, the Samsonov family goes to the dacha to Anikeev's lawyer.

Ilona is looking for a sponsor for the election campaign. Samsonov takes up his mind and tries to change for the better, and the former mayor Anikeev suffers from a lack of sex life.

Former mayor Anikeev is trying to win the love of oppositionist Marina Bylinkina. Samsonov is jealous of his wife Nina to the annoying lawyer Dana. Osipenko is nervous about Samsonov's rising ratings and plots against him.

After information that during the war years Samsonov's grandfather was a policeman, Samsonov disappeared. Anikeev tries to please Marina by becoming close to her son. And Marina finds out that the child urgently needs an operation.

Anikeev suffers from unrequited love. Samsonov is trying to teach Nina a lesson, Ilona helps him in this. The FSB officers decide to influence Marina through Eduard Valentinovich and give her another spy assignment.

Samsonov and Nina are trying to overcome the family crisis in a very strange way. Anikeev takes care of Marina and Lypkha and solves their problems as best he can. Having revealed the betrayal of Osipenko, Vika changes her attitude towards him and begins to seriously interfere with his plans.

Samsonov and Anikeev suffer setbacks in their personal lives, while the election campaign takes an unpredictable turn.
