After arriving in a strange village between timelines, Thomas, Z-Kid, and Ugg plead for mercy from Sheriff Boatswain and his brother Sharkey. The brothers reveal that their world exists as a purgatory for paradox refugees. Through a shared memory, Thomas learns that Boatswain, Sharkey, and Forget once discovered a mysterious portal as teenagers—one that changed their lives forever. Hoping Thomas may be the “prophet” destined to stabilize the timeline, Boatswain sends the trio to infiltrate the powerful faction known as Ares’ Mighty Hand. But deep in Boatswain’s vault lies a disturbing secret: the preserved heads of past timelines… including an older version of Z-Kid.

Thomas, Z-Kid, and Ugg infiltrate Ares’ Mighty Hand and meet its mysterious leader, Hunter. During a brutal initiation ceremony, the trio must survive a gladiator-style fight to the death among other lost souls. While Z-Kid secretly discovers a hidden time-machine project, he also begins having visions of himself killing Thomas. When a blood-red demon attacks the faction, Hunter reveals an impossible truth about himself: he cannot die. As night falls, the village wall is breached and demonic creatures begin pouring into the timeline refuge.

As demons swarm the walls of the purgatory village, former enemies unite to defend their fragile world. While Z-Kid struggles with prophetic visions of Thomas’s death, Boatswain rallies the factions into a desperate last stand. Amid a brutal battle reminiscent of legendary siege warfare, Thomas discovers the extent of his time-manipulation powers. But when the demon leader reveals itself to be a monstrous version of Thomas from another timeline, the fight takes a terrifying turn.

After the devastating battle, the survivors learn of a legendary weapon known as the Scythe of Clean Cut—capable of erasing a being from every timeline. Thomas, Z-Kid, Ugg, and several Ares fighters travel to the eerie “Happy House,” a haunted daycare hidden in a fractured zone. Each member must confront psychological trials tied to their past and future. But when one ally attempts to use the Scythe against Thomas, loyalties are violently tested.

Back in the village, tensions between factions explode as the Scythe’s return sparks accusations and paranoia. Boatswain attempts to unite the groups, but Hunter openly challenges his leadership while plotting a coup. Meanwhile, a mysterious monk trains a wounded survivor—revealed to be Forget, now hardened and seeking revenge. As a carnival celebration begins to ease tensions, Forget rides into the village with one name on his lips: Z-Kid.

The carnival descends into chaos when Forget returns and Hunter launches a secret uprising. As mysterious fires erupt throughout the village and demons begin appearing inside the walls, factions turn on one another. Flashbacks reveal Forget’s brutal training under a mysterious monk and his belief in a prophecy about the “second gate.” Trapped atop the burning carnival tower, Thomas realizes Forget’s return may have been part of a larger plan.

With the village engulfed in flames and red lightning tearing the sky apart, Forget confronts Thomas with the truth: he is the chosen one destined to close the “second gate.” As Hunter massacres survivors below, Thomas emerges from the inferno carrying a wounded Forget and publicly declares himself the Messiah. After executing Hunter with the Scythe, the prophecy collapses and the weapon disintegrates. With their world doomed, Thomas and his remaining allies escape aboard a mysterious one-way train—unaware that Forget has secretly boarded with them.

After a blinding white void consumes them, Thomas awakens back in his original world—six months after he vanished. As strange symbols and supernatural events begin appearing around him, he tries to return to normal life. Meanwhile, Z-Kid awakens elsewhere without his powers and races to find Thomas before tragedy strikes. When a demonic creature attacks the police transporting Thomas for questioning about Mr. Gonjhilk’s death, a violent crash reunites the two survivors—proving the nightmare may have followed them home.
