1. New York's Mexican Food is the best in the Country
Action visits five restaurants that are solidifying this idea. We start things off in Brooklyn with a visit to Taqueria Ramirez, a Mexico City-style taqueria specializing in suadero, longaniza, campechano, tripa, pastor, and nopales. After sampling all the tacos, we visit Hellbender in Ridgewood, Queens. This is where chef Yara Herrera has made quite a name for herself by doing her own takes on fried Oaxacan cheese, a seasonal chamoy, and crispy lamb shoulder. Next, we head to Los Burritos Juárez for true border-style burritos filled with the craziest braises and beans. This is also the point in the episode where we are joined by Conner Burks and the Fight Feas/Boys in the Back crew. Action then leads the group to Esse Taco, where chef Milton Rivera made us everything from a wagyu steak frites taco to carrot soup. What could possibly cap off an episode like this? Well, that would be Santo Taco's epic steak trompo tacos with salsa verde, followed by push-ups. ¡Buen provecho!
