5. The Race of the Gods
Kaʻiana returns with a warning, and a dangerous competition will determine his fate in Kamehameha's council. Keōua sends a message.

Kūpuohi tries to keep the hope of peace alive as the drums of war grow louder. Kaʻiana questions Kamehameha's leadership.
7. Day of Spilled Brains
A disagreement erupts about how to deal with the arrival of outsiders.
8. The Sacred Niu Grove
After his worst fears come true, Kaʻiana suffers a devastating loss. Keōua's call to war becomes unavoidable for Kamehameha.

A great battle arrives as Kaʻiana and Kamehameha lead their army against the combined might of Maui and Keōua.
