Chal Jhooti - Season 1 (2021)

Mini constantly uses small lies to manage her life, battling her mother's pressure to get married to a boy from Mathura or Kanpur and fabricating excuses for traffic fines and work tardiness. However, her casual fibs spiral out of control when her mother misinterprets Mini's close relationship with a female friend, concluding that Mini is a lesbian and determining that she 'has to do something'.

The lie escalates dramatically as Mini's mother fully accepts the presumed lesbian relationship, giving a traditional welcome to Mini's friend and repeatedly referring to her as the,'son-in-law'. Overjoyed, the mother expresses her intent to plan a grand wedding and asks for a birth date to consult a priest.
