Season 1 Plot
A terrible and mysterious enemy attacks the small village of Shu and his friend Kluke. The great warrior Zola, followed by Jiro, will help them discover the ability to evoke shadows (in the form of monsters of all kinds) to fight against the evil invaders. The four, who call themselves Shadow Evocators, take a trip to find all the other boys who have a shadow to defeat the wicked Nene, who heads the Great Reagan, an army that attacked Talta. The evocative boys are actually descendants of the legendary Soldiers of Light, those who for centuries had saved the world from evil. The group will also join the lovely Marumaro, and the sweet Bouquet.

Pages from the "Book of the Beginning" are stolen with information about Shadow powers.

General Logi is waiting to ambush Zola's group as they approach Gran Kingdom.

Conrad gathers soldiers to fight Gran Kingdom; Homeron continues to search for the master computer.

Cynthia is jealous of Bouquet's beauty; during a fight, everyone falls into Death Valley.

Homeron informs Shu of Delphinium, who is responsible for stealing the Extra 7.
24. Devil's Pursuit
Shu, Jiro, Marumaro, Homeron and the Norg crew are attacked.
25. Versus the Independent Flying Squadron
Shu and the others head to Logi's battleship to retrieve the Extra 7.
26. Cynthia's Madness
Shu and Jiro struggle to take down Cynthia; Zola looks to launch her own attack against Logi.

Nene sends General Szabo to the capital to attack Shu; Shu unleashes Blue Dragon.

Shu and Blue Dragon need to find a blacksmith for replacement parts.

Shu and Blue Dragon need to find a blacksmith for replacement parts.
34. Gilliam Returns
Kluke solves chapter seven of the Extra 7 and uses the crystal on her necklace to power up Phoenix.
35. The Shining Hippo
Bouquet and Hippopotamus try to solve the riddle of the fifth page.
36. Whispers and Clam
Bouquet manages to shut down the Black Shadows; the gang decides they need to finish things off.
37. Decisive Battle - Fortress in the Sky
Both sides release their shadows as the group moves in to take Nene down; Legolas helps Conrad.
38. The Last Battle
Zola has been defeated; Shu destroys Nene; Schneider takes over Castle Des La Teste.
39. Triumphant Return
Following the destruction of Nene, all the hostages are returned to their families.
40. Rosenkreutz
General Logi establishes the ruined town as the Rosekstan Kingdom; General Logi faces Zola.
41. Caged Bird
Shu and the others cope with Kluke's disappearance; Gen. Logi interrogates Kluke in his castle.
42. Awakening
Logi's shadow Valkyrie vanishes, and an Egyptian-themed shadow called Odin appears.
43. The Seven Warriors of Light
Shu has Blue Dragon use his Blue Explosion on Gen. Logi and Odin.
44. Truth
Shu decides that they should team up with Logi and go inside the darkness and talk to Zola.
45. Bongy, Bongy, Bounce!
Gen. Logi, Andropov and Schneider make an attempt to study the darkness.
46. Dissension
Shu and Jiro rescue Conrad from shadow monsters; Shu persuades Gen. Logi to help fight Zola.
47. Towards the Heart of Darkness
As Gen. Logi's airship enters the dark mass, it is attacked by flying shadow monsters.
48. The Two Oaths
While Schneider and Andropov hold off the giant shadows, the others get through the gate.
49. Zola
The group confronts Zola in a final stand, and Zola easily proves her superiority.
50. The Ties That Bind
When Blue Dragon successfully attacks Zola, she transforms into a demonic version of herself.
51. Shu
In order to free the world of darkness, a sacrifice of the shadows must be made.
