1. Ray Davies
Ray Davies rarely appears on television, but he makes an exception to his own rule by appearing on ACL. The former Kinks front man kicks off ACL's 32nd season.
2. The New Orleans Social Club
On the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina's destruction, the Social Club celebrates the Crescent City on ACL. A variety of special guests join them on stage.
3. Juanes
Named by Time magazine as “one of the 100 most influential people in the world,” Juanes is a Columbian born musician. ACL is proud to introduce him to a US audience.
4. Alejandro Escovedo
Alejandro Escovedo enjoys extreme critical praise but little commercial success.
5. Sufjan Stevens followed by Calexico
The underground rock scene is alive and well. Two of its most popular acts appear on ACL.
6. Ladysmith Black Mambazo
ACL introduces its audience to South African music traditions and Christian Gospel sounds.
7. Van Morrison
Van Morrison, member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, continues his exploration of groundbreaking music. He also plays some of his classic hits that have inspired generations.
8. Corinne Bailey Rae / KT Tunstall
First, Corinne Bailey Rae brings her lush, rich voice to the ACL studio. She started with critical success in the UK and has achieved commercial success around the world. Next, KT Tunstall has been a star in her native country of Scotland for awhile, but she has only recently been discovered in the US. This ACL performance showcases her unique talent.
9. Los Lonely Boys / the Gourds

10. The Raconteurs / Cat Power
Four friends gather together to form a new band. Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler make innovative and fun music. Next, Cat Power brings their emotionally charged indie-rock to the ACL studio for some cathartic rock.
11. Damian Marley
Damian Marley, as the youngest son of Bob Marley, has struggled to establish his own musical identity. His sophomore album clearly defined his own brand of reggae with realistic rhymes and eclectic beats. He appears to promote his successful third release.
12. James Blunt followed by James McMurtry
James Blunt is leading the wave of young British artists who are captivating American audiences. Next, James McMurtry uses his music to tell witty and and expansive stories.
13. Dixie Chicks
The Dixie Chicks bring their powerful new album to the ACL stage. Infused with personal and provocative songs, each melody tells a story.
