1. The persecution
How young women and men with their families find themselves, from one day to the next, excluded, hunted down, arrested throughout occupied Europe simply because they are Jewish, only to be deported far from home to one and the same place.
2. The deportation
The deportees arrive at the camp. In the middle of the railway tracks, families are separated. Those who enter the camp are shaved and then tattooed. The discovery of chimneys from which flames escape questions the new detainees. What is it about? Where have the elderly and children who were in the wagons gone?
3. The camp
It is the discovery of the concentration camp universe: brutal forced labor, daily violence, hunger, thirst, disease and omnipresent death. Everyone must find a way to survive.
4. The extermination
How the deportees in the concentration camp become the rare witnesses of mass extermination.
5. Life after
How do you get out of Auschwitz, how do you rebuild yourself? How do you talk about this ultimate experience, and also how do you pass it on?
