His family, friends and the whole village in general are waiting for him with pride and impatience - after all, earmarked funds were spent on his studies, and a young doctor is also very much needed in the local hospital. But everyone is surprised to learn that Mitya is not a surgeon, not a dentist, and not even a urologist, but a psychologist-sexologist. Conservative residents do not accept Mitya, they call him a "pussy doctor", his own father threatens to recant, but Mitya does not give up.
