9 Sandra Bullock Movies You Can't Stop Watching

Sandra Bullock is a national treasure, don't even try to fight us on it. In honor of "Gravity" turning five this year, here are the nine Sandy B. movies you need to watch whenever they are on cable, or streaming. You'll thank us for it.

'Speed' (1994)

For a movie that takes place mostly on a city bus, the thrills and suspense are real. If anything can prepare you for the tension of "Ocean's 8," it's definitely "Speed."

'While You Were Sleeping' (1995)

The best Bullock rom-com to date, "While You Were Sleeping" is the perfect movie introduction to just how charming she can be. You almost don't even mind that she's pretending to be engaged to someone in a coma who she's never spoken more than a dozen words to.

'Practical Magic' (1995)

Yes, "Practical Magic" was trashed by critics. But, it doesn't change the fact that Bullock is having fun and we're having fun with her.

'Miss Congeniality' (2000)

Gracie Lou Freebush (aka Gracie Hart) would not approve of "Ocean's 8," but we love this corny, romantic comedy anyway.

'Murder By Numbers' (2002)

"Murder By Numbers" features one of Bullock's most underrated performances as a cop investigating Ryan Gosling! Honestly, sign us up.

'The Proposal' (2009)

As we've said, Bullock is charming. This is one of those times where she doesn't do her usual America's Sweetheart schtick, and we love it.

'The Heat' (2013)

Bullock teaming up with Melissa McCarthy was one of the best decisions she could've made. They might have more chemistry than she has with any of her male co-stars, to be honest. We can't wait to see how good things get when teams up with seven women.

'Gravity' (2013)

Bullock might've won an Oscar for her acting in the (overrated, sorry not sorry) "The Blind Side," but her best performance to date was definitely in the Oscar-winning "Gravity." Yeah, George Clooney popped up here and there, but this was 100% her movie.

'Ocean's 8' (2018)

A near-perfect summer movie, "Ocean's 8" is the 24 f/s equivalent of escapist fun. Bullock, playing Danny Ocean's sister, proves she is more clever and capable thief than her brother, assembling a crew with effortless chemistry to pull of a tense and engaging third-act heist. Anne Hathaway steals the show with her meta turn as an A-list actress-turned-accomplice.
