'A Hard Day's Night' (1964)

"What was initially viewed as a cash-in-on-their-fame piece of junk is actually a brilliant film with incredible songs, clever direction, and four young lads at the top of their game. It's also the beginning of the music/video revolution."

'Jesus Christ Superstar' (1973)

"Tim Rice's lyrics are really clever, and I think it's the best music Andrew Lloyd Weber ever wrote. Loved the simplistic sets, the great cast, and low-key direction."

'Carousel' (1956)

"My favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. The Carousel Waltz is almost surrealistic and Hammerstein was the best lyricist of his day. Richard Rodgers was a f@cking genius. The Soliloquy still makes me all weepy and sh*t. Its an eight-minute tour de force of songwriting."
