Rachel Brosnahan, the award-winning star of Amazon series, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," will star in the film "I'm Your Woman" for Amazon Studios.

Brosnahan will play a woman who is forced to go on the run with her child due to her husband’s crimes. They then meet a couple who teaches them more than just how to survive. Production is set to begin this fall.

Julia Hart, who currently has the indie "Fast Color" in theaters, will direct and Oscar-nominated Jordan Horowitz of "La La Land" and "The Kids Are All Right" will produce. The two, who are married, founded production company Original Headquarters and co-wrote the script.

(You probably remember Horowitz from the 2017 Oscars night: He's the one who announced: "Moonlight" won Best Picture!" after the biggest mix-up in the history of the awards show.)

Brosnahan won a Emmy and back-to-back Golden Globes awards for her role as a 1950s housewife who begins a career in stand-up comedy in "Mrs Maisel." She also received an Emmy nomination for her role in the first season of "House of Cards."

Her films include "Patriots’ Day," "The Finest Hours," and the upcoming "Ironbark" with Benedict Cumberbatch.

Jordan and Hart recently completed "Stargirl" for Disney+. They also teamed on the 2016 drama "Miss Stevens."

Amazon Studios' recent big-screen films include "Cold War," "Beautiful Boy," "The Big Sick," and "Manchester by the Sea."
