Every Nancy Meyers Movie, Ranked

If you want to walk into an enchanting world where everyone seems to have cool jobs, the kitchens are as big as small castles, and love is always in the air, step into the films of Nancy Meyers. The rom-com queen has brought us so much joy over the years -- but which one of the fabulous filmmaker's directorial efforts is the most delightful? Let's rank them from worst to practically perfect.

6. 'What Women Want' (2000)

This movie is kind of like a reverse "Look Who's Talking" for adults, except instead of hearing the inner monologue of a baby, we hear the slightly stereotypical thoughts of early aughts women. We'll excuse some of the ridiculousness for the fact that the chemistry between Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt turns out to be quite magical. It's just not Nancy's finest work.

5. 'The Intern' (2015)

"The Intern" is totally entertaining, it just suffers from a bit of a narrative "blah" factor. The conflicts are pretty minimal, to the point of not caring what the heck happens to anyone, but that's okay, because De Niro is absolutely adorable! Seriously. His character is the most likable person on the planet and has zero flaws to speak of.

4. 'The Parent Trap' (1998)

There's no catchy guitar/piano performance of "Let's Get Together" in this remake of the 1961 classic, but there are two (count 'em two!) Lindsay Lohans. And as far as "twin acting" goes, hers is right up there. This is a delightful, kid-friendly comedy that we'll watch well into our old age with pride.

3. 'Something's Gotta Give' (2003)

Hey! We want to live in the Hamptons and hang out with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson and wear perfectly crisp summer whites and drink wine and write plays. The two leads are at their comedic best, and you know you've got a good thing going when about three straight minutes of someone sobbing uncontrollably funny can be made into something funny.

2. 'The Holiday' (2006)

Nancy Meyers clearly knew that the secret formula for taking a rom-com to the next level was A) setting it during the holidays and B) involving a cozy cottage in the English countryside. Dream team Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black, and Jude Law bring their tip-top charm in this smart and funny romp that has become a bonafide Christmas classic.

1. 'It's Complicated' (2009)

We'll forgive this movie for being named after a Facebook relationship status because it's so darn enjoyable. A wacky love triangle between Streep, Baldwin, and Martin? That's rom-com gold.
