Kick-Butt Movie Kids We Wouldn't Want to Mess With

Moviefone
August 3, 2016 - 1 min read

Usually, kids in movies are whiny and annoying and we want nothing to do with them. But, sometimes movies feature kids who scare the crap out of us --- mostly because they could kick our ass for sure. These are the 11 movie kids that we wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley.

Rufio (Dante Basco) - ‘Hook’

Besides Peter Pan, Rufio is the coolest, most badass dude in Neverland. Just look at his triple red mohawk and punk-meets-caveman attire. He swings around ropes, carries a giant sword on him, and, of course, kills pirates. Not only would Rufio kick our ass in a matter of minutes (and do it in style), but he’d get all of the Lost Boys to jump in and finish us off. Any kid who takes on Captain Hook, even if it ends in his demise, gains our ultimate respect (and fear).

Hanna (Saoirse Ronan) - ‘Hanna’

This 15-year-old assassin will do more than kick your ass -- she’ll kill you. Forget Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt, little Hanna has spent almost her entire life training to kill with her ex-CIA operative father. She may look cute and sweet, but that’s exactly the secret weapon she’ll use on you just before she steals your gun and shoots you dead.

Gogo Yubari (Chiaki Kuriyama) - ‘Kill Bill Vol. 1’

Gogo Yubari, O-Ren Ishii’s secret weapon, is the assassin you’d definitely want to be on your side and not against. This 17-year-old girl isn’t just terrifying for the atrocious violence she commits, but for that sweet innocent look she has on her face while doing it. A seriously disturbed girl, Gogo disembowels a random man after sweetly asking him if he wants to sleep with her (no big deal). But knives are hardly exciting to her. Her weapon of choice? A Chinese meteor hammer, a.k.a. two giant sphere metal weights on the ends of a chain that have retractable blades. Getting hit by that thing doesn’t sound like fun at all. Don’t hit on this plaid-skirted school girl or it’ll be your biggest regret.

The Greasers - 'The Outsiders'

Stop for a moment and imagine Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon, and Rob Lowe as teenage greasers. Now imagine standing up to them in a brawl. Scared yet? We’ve already fled the scene. These badasses roam the streets of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965 and defeat the wealthy Socs in an epic (but very cheesy) rumble. After a lot of punching, kicking, and face-shoving into mud the rich kids finally give up. Also, Ralph Macchio's Johnny stabs a guy, so he’s a double badass we’ll be sure to avoid.

Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) - ‘Home Alone’

After “Home Alone,” every prospective robber changed his mind about breaking and entering. Kevin McCallister may only be an eight-year-old kid, but he sure has an imagination -- one that will leave you bruised, bleeding, and burnt. Is messing with him really worth getting tangled in one of his booby traps where you’ll get smacked in the head with paint cans, hot irons, or a BB gun? Where your hands will be burned by door knobs and your feet cut by Christmas tree ornaments and nails? No, it’s not worth it, so don’t even think about trying to steal this kid’s lunch money.

Daniel (Ralph Macchio) - ‘The Karate Kid’

Although Ralph Macchio’s Daniel is the one who gets an ass kicking at the start of the original “Karate Kid,” after much patience and practice he learns the true art of karate. In the final fight scene, Daniel takes down Johnny with the classic Crane Kick. You'd never know by looking at him, but this kid has some serious kung-fu skills.

Dash (Spencer Fox) - ‘The Incredibles’

Any kid superhero -- especially one from a whole family of superheroes -- is a kid we’d avoid conflict with. While the adorable Dash probably wouldn’t hurt a fly, he definitely could if he needed to. In "The Incredibles," he races across water, along the roof of a cave, and jumps onto one of Syndrome’s (Jason Lee) flying saucer pods with ease. When it comes to Dash, we’d throw in our cards to avoid a high-speed beating.

Hayley Stark (Ellen Page) - ‘Hard Candy’

When a 14-year-old girl meets up with an older man she chatted with online, you’d expect the turn of events to be similar to a "Law and Order" episode. But Ellen Page’s Hayley Stark is not your typical naive teenager; she’s actually one of the most ballsy, violent-minded kids the big screen has ever seen. After going back to suspected child predator Jeff Kohlver’s (Patrick Wilson) house and letting him believe she is ignorant, Hayley turns the tables. She fakes castrating him, puts a noose around his neck with a forged suicide note, and threatens him with a gun.

Mathilda (Natalie Portman) - ‘Leon: The Professional’

Not every 12-year-old girl can hit her target with a scoped rifle (calm down, it shoots paintballs). While she doesn’t necessary hurt anyone, Natalie Portman’s Mathilda is one brave kid who won’t shy away from danger. After Leon (Jean Reno) teaches her how to shoot, she steals a bag of his guns and waltzes into the DEA office attempting to kill Gary Oldman’s corrupt agent. With all the violence she’s endured, not to mention some training from a badass hit man, Mathilda intimidates us -- a lot.

Rudy (Ryan Lambert) - 'The Monster Squad'

Leather jacket, black fingerless gloves, and Ray Ban sunglasses -- Rudy is a badass teen if we’ve ever seen one. Oh, and did we mention he strikes a match on his shoes to light his Lucky Strikes? This kid is so intimidating he makes Jason Hervey’s bully E.J. eat a candy bar off the ground with nothing but a look. Rudy also helps The Monster Squad fight Dracula, the Wolf Man, Frankenstein, the Mummy, and the Gill-Man, so you know this kid will take you down with ease.

Li’l Ze (Leandro Firmino) - ‘City of God'

While getting mixed up with the youth gangs of Rio de Janeiro will surely guarantee a quick and ugly death, there’s one drug dealer you really don’t want to piss off. In Fernando Meirelles’ “City of God” Li’l Ze is the most savage, most heartless, and most short-tempered of all the gang members. In this NSFW scene, we get the story of the murdering boy Li’l Dice who grew up to become the slum kingpin Li’l Ze. In one scene he even forces a little boy to shoot a toddler still in diapers. The scariest part about this sadistic drug dealer is that he’s just as scary as a kid as an adult.
