'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' Cast: Where Are They Now?
by Sharon Knolle
Time to feel old, everyone: "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" turns 15 this week. The cast, over the last decade-and-a-half, have outgrown their Hogwarts ties -- but we'll always remember them. Here's the cast then and now.
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)
While he'll always be Harry Potter to us, Radcliffe, now 27, has chosen his non-magical roles wisely. Recently, he played a farting corpse(!) in this year's "Swiss Army Man." In "Imperium," he plays an FBI agent who goes undercover as a white supremacist.
Emma Watson (Hermione Granger)

With roles in "The Bling Ring" and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," and the upcoming "Beauty and the Beast," Watson, now 26, has grown up into an accomplished actress. The stylish star is also a model for Burberry and Lancôme. In 2014, she was named the BAFTA British Artist of the Year and became a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador helping promote gender equality.
Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley)

The most famous British redhead besides Prince Harry, Rupert Grint made the perfect Ron Weasley. While Grint's post-Potter roles haven't been as high-profile as Radcliffe or Watson's, he's acted steadily since, playing a punk rocker in "CBGB" (with Potter co-star Alan Rickman). He also had a role in 2016's crime comedy, "Moonwalkers." Next, he will be seen in Crackle's TV adaptation of the movie "Snatch."
Alan Rickman (Severus Snape)

Alan Rickman's marvelous Snape wasn't always featured as much as we'd hoped, but boy, did he deliver in the last film. Sadly, the actor passed away earlier this year from pancreatic cancer. (Damn you, 2016!) Upon his death, his young co-stars revealed what a fatherly presence he had been to them since 2001. His final film was "Eye in the Sky."
Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)

Sniveling-rich bully Draco was memorably portrayed by Murder in the First" and super-smart CSI expert Julian Albert on "The Flash."
Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid)

J.K. Rowling herself wanted Cracker") to play the affable gamekeeper and, fortunately, he agreed. Outside of Hogwarts, he's had roles in "From Hell," "Ocean's Twelve," and voiced Lord Dingwall in "Brave." Most recently, he starred in the British mini-series "National Treasure."
Maggie Smith (Professor Minerva McGonagall)

Besides embodying the stern (but secretly helpful) professor, two-time Oscar winner Downton Abbey." She also-starred in "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and its sequel. On December 28, she turns 82.
Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom)

The buck-toothed, chubby-cheeked Neville grew up to be a total hottie! (And of course, heroically save the day in the last film.) Ripper Street" and "Happy Valley."
