11 Ridiculous '90s Kids Movies We'll Never Stop Watching

If you were a child of the '90s, then you were lucky enough to be right in the middle of a golden age for kid movies. Even though the decade gave us some of the most ridiculous plot-lines ever, we still can't enough of these 11 films.

'Rookie of the Year' (1993)

Whether you're nine or 90, the idea of breaking one's arm and then miraculously healing into an MLB-level baseball player sounds pretty sweet. We still use the old "pitcher's got a big butt" diss when we're watching our rival team play.

'Mrs. Doubtfire' (1993)

The odd course of events that play out here probably wouldn't have held up quite as well in actual divorce court, but who cares? Robin Williams is absolutely perfect in this film. Any time it's on, you can bet your rapping dinosaur we're watching.

'Hocus Pocus' (1993)

Hey, there aren't very many great kid-friendly Halloween movies. "Hocus Pocus" is an autumnal classic, with a stellar cast and plenty of timeless tricks and treats.

'Jumanji' (1995)

Based on the popular book of the same name, "Jumanji" gave every '90s kid the healthy fear of boardgames they needed. It's action-packed, a little dark, and a whole lot of wild fun. So, naturally, it's getting a reboot-quel in 2017.

'Beethoven' (1992)

Make a whole movie about a slobbery St. Bernard that wreaks havoc on a suburban family, but they love it anyway? Sure! Why not make seven more, plus, a TV spinoff? The formula works, people.

'Blank Check' (1994)

This is a convoluted tale about a computer-savvy 12-year-old who strikes it rich when he cashes a bank robber's blank check for a cool million. It clearly makes no sense, but this is '90s kids movie world, where children can make large financial transactions and buy castles and get away with it.

'The Mighty Ducks' (1992) / 'D2: The Mighty Ducks' (1994)

Remember that one time you briefly got super into hockey? That was probably because you couldn't resist this underdog sports saga about a rag-tag group of peewee players who go from losers to champions. Also, the sequel isn't half bad either... #GordonBombay4Ever

'Camp Nowhere' (1994)

"Camp Nowhere" lives out every middle schooler's fantasy of creating a summer camp where there are no rules, no adults, and no cliques. Christopher Lloyd's character should have probably gone to jail for perpetuating inane lies and endangering the lives of local youth, but it's all in good fun and of course the kids barely get in to trouble at the end. Living the dream!

'Hook' (1991)

Robin Williams' delightful transformation from tense working stiff to fully-realized Peter Pan is still a high-flying joy to behold. If the chant "Rufio!" means nothing to you, get thee to wherever the movie is streaming immediately.

'Space Jam' (1996)

Perhaps the most '90s kids movie ever, "Space Jam" can't be denied -- even well into the millennium. Looney Tunes + basketball + Bill Murray = magic.

'It Takes Two' (1995)

The Olsen Twins were pretty much the reigning queens of '90s kids entertainment, making dozens of movies and stealing laughs and hearts on "Full House" throughout the decade. "It Takes Two" was their big theatrical endeavor, and although riddled with cliches (Mary-Kate plays an orphan with a thick New York accent who plays actual stickball), the child-friendly comedy is still pretty darn enjoyable.
