25 Mistakes You Never Noticed in Huge Action Movies

It's January, so of course your mind is on action movies. No? It's not? Well, maybe we can change that. In recognition of this week's release of "xXx: Return of Xander Cage," we're calling out some of the imperfections you probably missed in your favorite action flicks, like "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" or "Pirates of the Caribbean." As always, all photos are courtesy of MovieMistakes.com.

'The Wolverine' (2013)

When Wolverine shields Yashida from the blast, he suffers serious burns, including the loss of all of his hair. Somehow, though, his pants are never affected by the explosion. Where can we buy those pants?

'The Great Escape' (1963)

When Hilts (Steve McQueen) returns to camp, he's dirty and his shirt is torn on the right side. Moments later, his shirt is magically repaired and clean.

'True Lies' (1994)

Seconds before the terrorist rides his motorcycle through a building, you can catch Arnold Schwarzenegger's double riding the horse.

'Gladiator' (2000)

During the scene where Maximus (Russell Crowe) throws the sword into the crowd and yells "are you not entertained?" the camera pans around. In the crowd, for a split second, you can see a cameraman in jeans and a shirt standing next to a camera.

'Die Hard' (1988)

When McClane (Bruce Willis) is looking up his wife on the building directory, the name first appears as "Gennaro." In the next shot, the spelling has changed to "Gennero."

'Pirates of the Caribbean: 'The Curse of the Black Pearl' (2003)

Not even Johnny Depp's distracting dreadlocked appearance couldn't keep us from noticing the gaffe in this shot. As Captain Sparrow & Co. get ready to set sail, a crew member -- complete with a cowboy hat -- is clearly visible over Depp's shoulder.

'Underworld' (2003)

When Lucian flies over Selene's car, an overhead shot shows damage to the street below. However, when Lucian lands, the street has magically repaired itself.

'Speed' (1994)

As Keanu Reeves runs past the tarpaulin on the roof, you can see a cameraman, and the red light of his camera, filming the scene.

'Commando' (1985)

In the top photo, the yellow Porsche is completely wrecked on its left side. As it drives away, however, the car has magically repaired itself.

'Young Guns' (1988)

When entering the Mexican village towards the end of the film, Billy (Emilio Estevez) is not wearing a coat. In the following shot, however, Billy is suddenly wearing a long coat.

'Batman Returns' (1992)

Before Batman (Michael Keaton) pulls out a piece of rubble from the wall and comes to Selina's (Michelle Pfeiffer) rescue, the outline of fake rubble is very visible. Talk about breaking the fourth wall. (Cue rimshot.)

'Independence Day' (1996)

During the "Soviet Special News" scene at the White House, a close-up of the TV reveals not just the reflection of the actors, but a camera and a crew member as well. He can be seen wearing a light-colored short-sleeve shirt and baseball cap.

'Mad Max' (1979)

To prepare for the crash, the semi truck has a large metal shield fastened to its front to minimize damage. When it comes time for the crash, however, the metal shield is simply painted to appear like the actual front of the trunk, complete with fake lights painted on. Hey, you have to save money somewhere.

'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' (2011)

In the first scene, Carly walks upstairs wearing a white hat, but when the camera shows her from the front, the hat is suddenly gone.

'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' (2009)

When Ana (Sienna Miller) kisses her husband after he's weaponized the warheads, you can see the reflection of the boom mic on the lens of her glasses.

'Saving Private Ryan' (1998)

In the opening sequence, a man wades in the water with Cpt Miller (Tom Hanks), and you can clearly see a bizarre square-shaped object on his chest. A moment later, the mystery object discharges and oozes red, revealing it to be a squib, or bullet effect pack.

'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' (1989)

When we see Indy (Harrison Ford) for the first time in the film as he fights aboard the Coronado ship, he is bleeding from the right side of his mouth. Throughout the remainder of the scene, however, he is bleeding from the left side of his mouth.

'Pearl Harbor' (2001)

Just after Rafe (Ben Affleck) pops himself in the nose with the champagne cork, there is a bit of blood running down his right cheek. It disappears when the camera cuts back to him. Movie magic!

'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' (1984)

A large pile of cash mysteriously appears on the table in the nightclub scene when Indy asks for the diamond. The glass nearby also refills itself. More movie magic!

'Zombieland' (2010)

Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) paints the number "3" on the sides of the yellow Hummer when they find the vehicle, but the style of the "3" clearly changes throughout the film.

'300' (2006)

The Oracle's shoulder buckle keeps alternating shoulders during her trance scene. (The Oracle may have that power, though...)

'Apocalypse Now' (1979)

As the men walk past a straw shack on the shore, the Captain says, "What they were mopping up now hadn't even happened yet an hour ago" and you can see the cameraman's shadow on the backs of the soldiers.

'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' (2003)

There's plenty about this movie that's far from perfect, but this is extra bad. Getting into the single-engine plane, the aircraft's number clearly reads "N3035C." When it takes flight, the numbers have changed to "N3973F."

'Resident Evil: Retribution' (2012)

When Alice and her daughter are trying to escape in the laundry room, she uses a mop to make a hole in the ceiling that appears to be little more than a foot wide. When Alice lifts her daughter up to the ceiling, however, the hole is noticeably much bigger.

'Mission Impossible II' (2000)

As Tom Cruise chases Thandie Newton, Cruise's seatbelt alternates between being on and off throughout the scene.
