An escaped convict falls exhausted at her door, and she gives him food and drink while the story is told, in flashback, of how he committed his crime. An unfaithful wife, a bar room, a dude and self-defense; these were the elements that made him a convict. The mother learns that it was her boy that he killed. Although the mother helps him to escape, the prison officials capture him."
