All of the movies had the same art style except for Shimajiro and the Flying Ship. The first CGI Shimajiro movie called Shimajiro and the Flying Ship, had updated models and different animation, and was going to be released in 2020, but was delayed a year later, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The next movie, Shimajiro and The Prince of Glittering Kingdom, went back to the CGI that is still used in the original show.
