In early 2007 Marvel assigned Joe Quesada plus a small group of comic writters to create what would eventually be called Iron Man Advertorials: three animated shorts with a simple clean story that would introduce Iron Man to younger viewers using the two most recognizable Marvel characters at the time – Spider-Man and Hulk – as bait.
