Carter is a detective who was on the case of a female assassin but he ends up getting arrested after a traffic accident. Years later he returns, without a job, he discovers that the assassin he was looking for had killed his wife while he was in jail. With a desire for revenge, Carter returns to hunt the woman he pursued years ago. Megan, the killer, who had already retired, decides to return to active duty as soon as she discovers that he was after her, thus starting a game of cat and mouse.
