Ranggalih Biography
Hailing from Jakarta, Ranggalih is a social researcher who is also active in the film industry, with roles ranging from filmmaker, curator, to distributor. While pursuing his undergraduate studies in psychology, Ranggalih was also active in his university’s cinematography club, serving as a festival director in 2023. His film production experience initially began in 2016, where since then he has directed, written, and composed more than 20 titles of short films.
Red Wild Mushroom (2024) and Bodies of Mary (2025) are among his films that has sailed across different festivals. Ranggalih's films often raise social issues in a surrealistic manner—using psychoanalytical symbols and exploiting ambiguity to provoke the audience to interpret.
