Paolo Laganà Biography
Paolo Laganà (they/them) was born in Italy on October 28, 1986. Their passion for filmmaking began early, leading to the creation of several experimental short films on Super 8. They later lived in Bucharest, Romania, contributing to numerous films from the Romanian New Wave, including projects with directors like Radu Jude and Corneliu Porumboiu. Paolo currently lives and works in Berlin, where they studied at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB).
Their artistic practice centers on queer culture, exploring themes of identity and abandonment.
