Allison Paul Biography
Allison Paul is a visual effects producer. She has built her career through progressive roles in visual effects coordination, production, and supervision, working extensively with Lola Visual Effects (also known as Lola VFX) and later with Marvel Studios, where she became known for managing complex, multi-vendor workflows across interconnected cinematic and streaming projects.
Her early professional work includes visual effects coordination and production roles on high-profile films such as The Avengers (2012), Skyfall (2012), Les Misérables (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). As a visual effects producer at Lola Visual Effects, she contributed to films including Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014), Ant-Man (2015), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Carol (2015), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015), Ad Astra (2019), Togo (2019), and Dolittle (2020).
Paul later served as a visual effects coordinator at Marvel Studios on several large-scale ensemble features, including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). She became the visual effects producer for the Disney+ series Loki (2021–2023), overseeing visual effects across both seasons and all episodes.
For Loki Season 2 (2023), production visual effects supervisor Christopher Townsend emphasised Paul's continuity and institutional knowledge, highlighting her role as visual effects producer on both seasons. He cited her comprehensive understanding of the series's visual language as indispensable, particularly as returning vendors brought experience from the first season.
Beyond Loki, Paul has served as a visual effects consultant on Ms Marvel (2022), as a visualisation artist with The Third Floor on The Marvels (2023), and as an additional visual effects producer on Thunderbolts (2025). She is returning as visual effects producer on Avengers: Doomsday (2026), reuniting with Christopher Townsend, who also serves as the filmfilm'sduction visual effects supervisor.
Paul was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2024 for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie for Loki (2021), shared with Steve Moncur, Christopher Townsend, Sandra Balej, Matthew Twyford, Chris Smallfield, John Van Der Pool, Julian Hutchens, and Kevin Yuille. She also received Visual Effects Society Award nominations for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode for Loki, including the episode "Journey Into Mystery (2021)" at the 2022 awards and "Glorious Purpouse" (2023) at the 2024 awards.
She was also interviewed in the Marvel Studios: Assembled documentary series, episode The Making of Loki Season 2 (2023).
